    8 pieces 1 1 5kg Ground turmeric 1 tsp A pinch of salt to taste Dried red chillies 15 pcs Blue ginger lengkuas in Malay 2 inches Garlic crushed 4 cloves Big red onions diced 2 Fresh ginger 1 inch QBB oil 2 tbsps Vegetable oil to fry chicken 2 tbsps Cinnamon stick 1 Whole star anise pods 2 Whole cloves 5 Cardamom seeds 5 Tomatoes sliced 2 Tomato sauce 3 tbsps Tomato puree 2 tbsps White sugar to taste 1 tsp Ground cashew nuts 25g Coconut juice 1 2 cup 125ml Method Rub chicken with turmeric powder and salt Set aside Cook dried red chillies in hot water until soft Blend softened dried chillies garlic onions blue ginger and ginger in a grinder to a paste Heat vegetable oil in a large frypan over medium high heat Brown the chicken in the hot oil until golden on all sides Remove chicken from frypan and set aside Remove excess oil from frypan leaving about 1 tbsp and then add QBB oil Put in cinnamon cardamom star anise and cloves for one minute and then pour in chilli paste to let it cook until fragrant Add in ground cashew nuts Return
