  • Operations Module...and How I Survived
and he kept explaining until everyone even me got it Operations was a lot of math One thing an EMBA has done for me as a qualitative person is strengthen my qualitative e g math skills by making me use the skill each month across a range of classes The same is true for those with a more quantitative background Presentations are a natural part of the Fox EMBA People who haven t done much presenting find themselves comfortable in front of an audience because they ve done it regularly as part of the program By the time Dr Gershon s class was over I felt comfortable with decision analysis forecasting transportation quality management and a whole host of other operations topics I leaned on my fellow students who are math wizards and with a lot of time and effort I walked away not only with a good grade but the sense that I could learn anything Will anyone ever ask me where I think we should build a plant No Would I have intelligent questions for the operations team on how the decision was made Absolutely And that s the beauty of the Fox EMBA Dr Gershon is back

  • New White Paper - Impact of Technological Innovation Capabilities on International Competitiveness
on the same topic Impact of Technological Innovation Capabilities on International Competitiveness Download the Dr Annavarjula s white paper 1 or register for his KLS event 2 Here s more about the white paper and presentation The central role of innovation driven knowledge in enhancing economic performance of firms can hardly be overemphasized Technological innovation as an accepted source of organizational knowledge has thus gained added significance as an important driver of organizational performance This study utilizes a broader definition of a firm s technological innovation capabilities that include the generation dissemination and strength of the innovative activity in a firm They are then used to predict international competitiveness of the firm The unique features of this study are that it uses multiple indicators of firm s technological innovation it uses a cross sectional longitudinal data along with lagged measures of international competitiveness Our results are quite encouraging with each factor being a significant predictor of foreign sales However one factor innovation generation returned an unpredicted negative sign This is partially explained due to the nature of changes in how the underlying data are collected International Executive Education Center IEEC 75 Bukit Timah Road 05 15 16 Boon Siew Building
