    following documents together with the application form Household members who are employed are required to submit their latest payslip or a letter from their employer certifying their income Household members who are self employed are required to attach their latest Income Tax Notice of Assessment If the member is not required to pay tax or the tax assessment does not reflect his her current income status he is to complete the declaration form attached with the application form Household members who are unemployed and below age 62 are required to complete a declaration if they are not undertaking full time studies or are in full time National Service If the Gross Household Income exceeds 2 500 and there are 5 or more members in the same household including grandparents please provide the following additional documents Copies of NRIC of household members other than parents and unmarried siblings If there are other dependent children with no NRIC please submit copies of legal documents to show that they are staying in the same household FAQ Is there any help for students who do not meet the income limits but require financial assistance They should continue to seek community based assistance such as from the School Management Committee School Advisory Committee Schools will also help to refer them to external charitable agencies or Community Development Councils CDCs for assistance Community support is part of the many helping hands approach to looking after the needs of less well off Singaporeans B School Advisory Committee Financial Assistance Scheme 1 The School Advisory Committee SAC Funds was set up to look into the welfare of our pupils For students who do not meet the income criteria set by the MOE FAS their application would automatically be assessed for the School Advisory Committee SAC FAS Scheme SAC FAS fund provides for the following assistance Meal Bursary for MOE FAS SAC FAS Free Text Book for SAC FAS GCE N and O Level Examination Fees for SAC FAS Transport Bursary for MOE FAS SAC FAS Free Uniform for SAC FAS 2 Provision of meal bursary to our needy students is subjected to the availability of SAC funding which sources are mainly from donations to the school 3 To ensure that the support is given to well deserving students the school expects recipients to ensure that they abide by all school rules and have no serious disciplinary problems Assistance would be terminated if students have disciplinary problems and show poor work attitude or play truancy C The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund was initiated on Children s Day October 1 in the year 2000 by The Straits Times to heighten public awareness of the plight of children from low income families who were attending school without proper breakfast or pocket money to sustain their day in school The aim is to alleviate the financial burden faced by parents in providing for their children s education At the same time the funds

    sponsored by the TWSS Alumni aims to develop sporting talent starting with Hockey in 2012 TWSS Sports Scholars will be provided with rigorous training and development in Hockey with opportunities for character and leadership development At the same time they will be supported to excel academically in order to be able to progress to a post secondary educational institution of their choice Each year TWSS Sports Scholars will awarded 400 to subsidise curriculum related courses enrichment equipment talent development programmes and overseas trips The renewal of the scholarship award will be subject to continued good performance in studies and in the CCA Admission Criteria Students who are interested in applying for the TWSS Sports Scholarship must fulfil the following criteria Qualifies for Express course with a PSLE T Score of 200 or higher Good Primary School CCA Records in terms of attendance participation and attitude Representation and sporting achievements e g representatives in international regional competitions combined school games and competitions individuals or key representatives of school team who achieved top 8 placings at National Inter Primary Schools Competitions or individuals with outstanding achievements in Hockey Good record of leadership and character Selection Process and Timeline Students will be invited to apply for the TWSS Sports Scholarship in January 2012 once they are posted to Teck Whye Secondary School Applicants will be considered based on the following Selection trials for physical fitness and kinaesthetic skills Interview Primary school academic results physical fitness and CCA records Testimonials from teachers and coaches Other supporting documents e g certificates of achievements Results of the selection will be made known in February 2012 Join Teck Whye Secondary School and be given the opportunity to lead serve and achieve TWSS Excellence and Resilience Awards The school is pleased to launch the TWSS Excellence and Resilience
