    Adjunct Faculty Members Faculty of Dance Faculty of Mother Tongue Languages Faculty of Music Faculty of Theatre Faculty of Visual Arts Library SOTA Organisation Chart Clara Koh obtained her Diploma in Product and Industrial Design at Temasek Polytechnic in 2002 During her training as a student she was selected to go on a 5 month internship program at the IKEA head office in Sweden and had designed products that were sold worldwide Subsequently Clara was offered a direct entry into the Masters Course at the prestigious Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands She graduated with a Masters in Conceptual Design in 2008 under the mentorship of Gijs Bakker founder of Droog Design in The Netherlands Together with Alvin Ho Clara founded HOKO studio a Design Research Laboratory focussing on the investigations of the phenomenal conditions situated in our everyday Besides exhibiting and collaborating with practitioners from various disciplines HOKO has directed and produced exhibitions extensively in European cities such as Berlin Liege Amsterdam Rotterdam Eindhoven Milan and also locally at The Substation Old City Hall and the Singapore Art Museum HOKO was the recipient of the Capability Development Grant and the Overseas Promotion Partnership Programme Grant from the Ministry of

    Office of Technology Management Office of Venue Management Adjunct Faculty Members Faculty of Dance Faculty of Mother Tongue Languages Faculty of Music Faculty of Theatre Faculty of Visual Arts Library SOTA Organisation Chart Fang Siwei graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in 2008 at the School of Design and Environment National University of Singapore in Industrial Design During her training as a student she was awarded several prizes with distinguished project collaborators such as Swarovski RISIS and DELL Shortly upon graduation Siwei was selected and invited to join the Design Incubation Centre a design research laboratory which investigates and develops new tools of design in order to find new possibilities for the practice of design In 2010 Siwei was conferred the prestigious President s Design Award for her contribution to Objects Around The Tablescape a collection of daily objects that focuses on the visceral and emotive quality of materials synthesizing different fragments of investigations thoughts and design studies into everyday objects She has travelled extensively to Paris Milan and Kyoto to exhibit these works and the collection has since received critical acclaim and response from the international design community In 2011 she introduced and presented the first collection of MADEFORSAM a product design initiative by the Singapore Art Museum with 40 multidisciplinary artists designers and architects from Singapore at international exhibitions in New York and Paris As a practicing designer Siwei has also been involved with freelance lighting design projects curatorial efforts for retail gallery spaces and design strategies for design businesses in Singapore She has also conducted design thinking workshops with students academic researchers and professionals from the industry to increase awareness and appreciation for the process of design and its relevance in generating fresh insights and development of innovative thinking Concurrent to her tertiary education since 2006

    Office of Procurement Office of Property Management Office of Student Affairs Office of Technology Management Office of Venue Management Adjunct Faculty Members Faculty of Dance Faculty of Mother Tongue Languages Faculty of Music Faculty of Theatre Faculty of Visual Arts Library SOTA Organisation Chart An outstanding artist and sculptor John Stewart Jackson earned his Bachelor in Fine Arts BFA with an emphasis on sculpture from Birmingham Southern College He was voted top BFA student by the college s Department of Art and Art History in his graduating year in 2001 After college John Stewart spent six years as an Artist in Residence and Foundry Manager at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham Alabama As part of the Sloss Metal Arts Program he taught the process of casting sculpture and metal fabrication to students from elementary junior high and high schools in Alabama and in the South Eastern US as well as universities across the US He also held solo and group exhibitions in Alabama New Jersey New Mexico California and Georgia John Stewart s work among his many commissions includes making trophies for Birmingham s Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival and building a dedication triptych for the Mary G Hardin
