  • INFINITI’S 3 SERIES CHALLENGER | Evo
    saloon s exterior has hints of Jaguar a good thing in our opinion and Infiniti claims the curvaceous body is not just aerodynamic with a coefficient of drag of just 0 26 but also develops zero lift Inside the tall centre console features two touchscreens part of the Infiniti InTouch system The top screen displays the most frequently used applications while the other functions are displayed in the lower screen As standard the Q50 syncs automatically with smartphones to provide in car connectivity on the go Engines initially available at launch are a 3 7 litre petrol and a 3 5 litre petrol electric hybrid with more powertrains going to be announced in March The former puts out 328bhp and 365Nm of torque while the latter has 360bhp and 620Nm of torque The only transmission available is a 7 speed auto At the time of writing performance figures are not available from Infiniti but we do know that the Q50 can be ordered with either a rear wheel drive or an all wheel drive layout What stands out on the Q50 is its drive by wire steering technology it can alter the angle of each front tyres and steering inputs

  • NISMO MAKES A JUKE BUT DRIVE IT FIRST ON YOUR PHONE | Evo
    torque respectively over the standard Juke Turbo that s currently on sale Fed to just the front wheels via a six speed manual this uprated Juke will sprint from rest to 100km h in just 7 8 seconds onto a top speed of 216km h A four wheel drive version with a CVT gearbox will also be available Its chassis has been improved accordingly it gets an up rated sports suspension with slightly stiffer springs for greater traction and improved body control while the steering has been recalibrated to be more direct This car should be a riot when punted hard Looks wise it comes fitted with a bodykit new bumpers wider wings side skirts and tailgate spoiler that minimises lift on both ends yet without increasing aerodynamic drag Nismo s signature red door mirrors are there complemented by a matching red pinstripe and Nismo badges Suede upholstered Nismo sport seats hold the front occupants in place The steering wheel is clad in an Alcantara leather trim while the door liners are trimmed in suede To remind the driver that he s not in a run of the mill Juke Turbo the dashboard gauges gearknob and gaiter all have red

  • THE LATEST 911 GT3 CUP REVEALED | Evo
    s most successful racecar last Saturday at the Porsche Motorsport Night of Champions celebration at Weissach This new GT3 Cup car is the first racecar to be based on the current 991 series 911 and it will be used exclusively in the 2013 season of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup one make series Other racing versions of this rear engined sports car including those used in the Carrera Cup Asia regional series will follow shortly The 460bhp 10bhp more than the 997 series Cup car punched out by the 3 8 litre flat six goes to the rear wheels via a six speed dog type gearbox which comes complete with paddle shifts a first for this stripped out racer making it notably easier for race drivers to shift gears while driving at the limit It is fitted with newly designed single piece race wheels shod with wider Michelin racing slicks at both ends which should give this new Cup racer improved cornering grip particularly on the front axl Interestingly its 2 piece brake discs are steel and not ceramic composite items gripped by six piston callipers and four piston callipers at the front and rear respectively Inside it gets an
