    Life Campus Life 2012 Campus Life 2011 Campus Life 2010 Campus Life 2009 Campus Life 2008 Home Singapore Science Engineering Fair 2010 Singapore Science Engineering Fair 2010 26 April 2010 Dunman High stars in the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair and A STAR Talent Search 2010 On 10 and 11 March 2010 29 Dunmanians from 15 different research projects represented Dunman High School in the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair SSEF 2010 of which 7 Dunmanians did our school proud by winning awards for our school As a results of her fine achievements and potential in science research Chew Yi Hui Nicole was shortlisted in the A STAR Talent Search A TS 2010 Nicole impressed the Nobel Laureate Prof Barry James Marshall with her strong passion in science and clinched the Commendation Award in A TS The award ceremony was held on 23rd April in Biopolis and the school would like to thank the research scientists for taking time to mentor Dunmanians The award winners and their respective projects are Name of Student s Class Project Title Research Programme Mentor Award Siswo Hartoyo 6C42 Carbon Nanotubes as Efficient Nano sieve for Removal of Nanoparticles from Turbid Water Science Society Water

  • 缤纷德明 Kaleidoscope 2010 "Torch of Friendship"
    witnessed a few firsts at Kaleidoscope On 1 April it first returned to the Tanjong Rhu campus after the school moved back in 2009 with a full scale of 6 levels participating in the celebration of the arts The day began with students reporting to school in their various brightly coloured class or level tee shirts The whole school gathered at 正心园 Zheng Xin Yuan Circular Garden and Performing Art Centre to witness the opening ceremony launched by the Guest of Honour Dr Lee Boon Yang Chairman of Keppel Corporation and former MICA Minister The opening ceremony ended with the inaugural performance by the DHS Symphonic Orchestra first of its kind amongst secondary schools and junior colleges in Singapore This is a significant milestone in the history of DHS performing arts It shows the maturity and high standards of our students performing ability and aspirations Overall the artistic director for the opening ceremony was the renowned DHS Chinese Orchestra conductor Mr Tay Teow Kiat Another first this year we launch the Kaleidoscope logo The logo symbolises the vibrancy of the arts culture in DHS The shape is inspired by the torch of flame with a subtle K which stands for Kaleidoscope It signifies the passion of our talented students The rainbow colours represent the various forms of arts and talents we celebrate through this signature biennial festival All over the school the logo was seen on banners and posters and it certainly brightens up the school In conjunction with the Youth Olympic Games one of the objectives of Kaleidoscope this year is to increase Dunmanians awareness of the culture of Japan and Sierra Leone the school s twinning countries for YOG Students groups namely Girl Guides Japan Culture Club Anime Comic and Gaming Club and Culinary Club put up booths

    2008 Achievements CCA Scholars School EZCOETNL Mission Vision Logo Professional Sharing Day 14 09 2012 Resources and Useful Links Venue Booking Archives Contact Us Home Partners Administration DHS Apps Contact Us All Campus Life Campus Life Campus Life 2012 Campus Life 2011 Campus Life 2010 Campus Life 2009 Campus Life 2008 Home ODAC Eco Challenge ODAC Eco Challenge 03 April 2010 On the 3rd of April 2010 Dunman High Senior High Outdoors Activities Club ODAC collaborated with Mountbatten Community Club Youth Executive Committee and Water Ways Watch Society to organise an Endurance Challenge cum Environmental Monitoring project The project began with a biathlon consisting of a 10km of run from Bishan Stadium to Kallang Basin and a 10km of kayak expedition to Marina Barrage and Sungei Kallang Along our jogging route we stopped to collect water samples from both canals and rivers to be tested later for turbidity dissolved oxygen salinity bacteria count and acidity The challenge on the way was to collect the water from canals where some of us actually had to climb over the railing to get the samples After completing the 10 km run we were all still energized to continue the kayaking phase of our

    Life Campus Life 2012 Campus Life 2011 Campus Life 2010 Campus Life 2009 Campus Life 2008 Home International Friendship Day Senior High International Friendship Day Senior High 21 April 2010 International Friendship Day was commemorated on April 21 2010 for the Senior High Section In line to the theme Our Inter connected world and our country hosting the up coming Youth Olympics Games the students were further exposed to our world s varied cultures The Year 5 students were provided with the opportunity to interact with the General Manager the coaches and the players from Etoile FC Football Club Etoile means star in French and Etoile FC is the first European team to ply their trade in Singapore s professional league as well as being the first in Asia It is entirely made up of players of French origin The students were given the opportunity to meet up and practice their French as well as to gain greater insight into French culture with the manager coaches and players Etoile FC was also generous enough to offer our students free match tickets to their upcoming top of the table match with Singapore Armed Forces Fotball Club SAFFC The Year 6 students

    CCA Scholars School EZCOETNL Mission Vision Logo Professional Sharing Day 14 09 2012 Resources and Useful Links Venue Booking Archives Contact Us Home Partners Administration DHS Apps Contact Us All Campus Life Campus Life Campus Life 2012 Campus Life 2011 Campus Life 2010 Campus Life 2009 Campus Life 2008 Home Uniformed Group Council Overnight Bike Hike Uniformed Group Council Overnight Bike Hike 01 April 2010 The Inaugural UG Council Overnight Bike Hike was held over the Good Friday break from the 1st to 2nd of April It was a holiday well spent as this event served as an excellent platform for the seniors across all UGs to bond with one another and foster close relationships within the newly formed Council Throughout the long journey from East Coast Park to Changi Village and back everyone motivated one another and fought back their heavy eyelids from a long day at school Although the hike was challenging and physically tiring we kept our spirits up and had fun interacting amongst ourselves Despite the delay in activities due to the poor weather condition it was heartening that no one harbored any thought of giving up Rather everyone was anxious to be given the green light to carry on with the Bike Hike and this determination and drive further affirms the fact that the UG Council is indeed on the right track to success When we finally reached our end point all of us felt an immense sense of achievement and were delighted that we had completed the Bike Hike together as one Council This Bike Hike would not have been possible without the encouragement and cooperation amongst our fellow UG Council mates as well as our teachers who came down to support us In addition we would like to specially thank Miss Ng Kai
